Another late post

One of these days I'll post regularly.

We have moved in to a bigger home. It is so much nicer than being cramped in an apartment. There is absolutely no carpet and in many ways that has been much easier. When it is my day to mop all the rooms that is when I yearn for carpet or when I want to lay on the floor on my tummy.

Bitsy Bee is entering middle school this coming year. I can't believe it. On top of this I received her most recent progress report and it boasted all As and Bs; math and science leading with As. She is at her grams right now enjoying some time off. She is such a good student I was able to get her a free pass for the whole week with just a few pages of homework. I miss her terribly and perhaps that is why I decided to post.

My bubber is exiting kindergarten. His set up is going to be the same. He will be in a general education setting with an aid and 30 minutes of rsp a day. He will also still get OT services. He has come such a long way. I can't believe he'll be in 1st grade! He is still on the risperidal medication. The first 6 weeks of the medication it worked so well. He didn't get bad marks during that time at all. Then I skipped a few days and it was decreased for the second phase of the study and now things are crazy again. I wouldn't say it is as bad or as scary as it was but he does have his moments of violent outbursts that is a cause for concern. Having said that he is a great kid and tries his best. Social skills is going really well. Our neighbors son is coming over for their friendship club, though it seems that much of the time Adam is directing him on how to act. This Summer I was told that he will enter a classroom setting with other kids in the program. That will be great and can't wait to see how much he will learn.

My wittle guy is also doing good. Still in preschool and thriving. His teacher second guessed his diagnosis but I'm confident in my experience with him as well as his struggles he currently has. Her program is wonderful so I"m trying to not let it get to me. I get really senstive when someone questions the validity of what I bring forth. I advocated for him like crazy and to have someone think that I made this stuff all up is difficult. I believe she means well and I know I'm taking it too personally. Anyway he is doing great and she is a wonderful teacher. He does have the same handwriting problems that bubber has so that is definitely something I'm watching. I love him to pieces and it is wonderful to see him actaully enjoying life now!

Well, I'm being called to play Guitar Hero with bubber and hubby so I will go now.
